When does good become the enemy of GREAT?

Take a moment and think about this…. our football culture has become such that we settle for mediocre,  let alone good. We have become so accustomed to average in this country that we’re prepared to refer to disturbingly average players as great players. 

This needs to stop. Winning the PSL, although it is the highest league in the country,  means nothing and our players,  coaches and our administrators need to realise this. If our football is going to reclaim its glory days, we are going to have to change our mindset… every single one of us… we are going to have to aspire to true Greatness. We are going to have to up or game and it starts with us as a Football fraternity having to raise the bar. 

So although our heartfelt congratulations go out to coach Pitso and his team, we need to realise that good can so easily become the enemy of great. 

Too many of us believe that we are great, when we are barely even scraping the barrel of goodness. 

We need to be relentless in our pursuit of excellence.
